Reggie Bush isn’t practicing on Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush is not practicing with the team on Thursday, according to Tim Twentyman of the team website. Bush is dealing with an ankle injury and his status is a downgrade from Wednesday, when he was a limited participant in practice. Unfortunately, it looks like Bush hasn’t recovered from the injury, was forced him to miss the team’s Week 6 game.
Bush did manage to play in Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints, but he didn’t see much action. He caught five passes for 22 yards and carried the ball four times for 10 yards. Joique Bell has more carries overall, more yards and more touchdowns. At this point, it seems unlikely that Bush is ready to go for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons in London.
Fantasy Impact: The Lions have another practice day on Friday, and for what it’s worth, the London game on Sunday comes very early. Fantasy owners can wait and see what happens with the inactives list if they need to, but Bush should probably be avoided at this point. If he is active, he’s not going to shoulder a full workload by any stretch of the imagination.
