Justin Tucker’s missed field goal on Sunday was symbolic of the Ravens’ entire day, their chances of victory sinking by the second.
The field at the 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium is so awful that the Pro Bowl kicker’s plant foot literally sank into the turf, causing him to slip and miss a 45-yard field goal in the third quarter with the Ravens down six, the kick hitting the right upright. They ended up losing 25-20.
Justin Tucker’s third missed field goal of the season comes when he slips into a mini sinkhole at Levi’s Stadium.
The NFL can’t possibly be happy with the situation as the stadium will host Super Bowl 50 in February. The entire surface had to be replaced during its first preseason in 2014 because it got chewed up during a game.
